Chimper #749
Ask any apprentice in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria about Koriko, and they’ll tell you the epithet was an insult that simply failed to land. During the Great Monolith Tilt, when a fifty-ton chunk of obsidian started leaning toward the main fortress, the wizards were frantic. They hurled spells, shouted incantations, and sweated through their robes. Koriko, however, simply found a sunny spot, leaned their carved cane against a rock, and appeared to doze off. Moments before disaster, the monolith gently righted itself. An exhausted mage, seeing Koriko’s gleeful, sleepy expression, dubbed them “the Listless.” The name spread like wildfire, but Koriko just laughed. Their magic isn’t about effort; it’s about listening. And one has to be very, very still to hear what the rocks are saying.
