The wizards of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria claim Tanejirou is harmless, a sweet-natured wanderer with eyes full of starlight and a constant chocolate stick in their mouth. They watch the chimp lean on their carved cane, moving between the spinning monoliths as if lost in a gentle dream. Most assume they suffered a great tragedy, a deep betrayal that fractured their spirit and left them this way, a sorrowful echo of the murdered princess Genkei. They are right about the betrayal that tore a family apart. They are just wrong about which sibling was holding the knife.
