Chimper #966
The most determined adventurer below the great falls began their legend not with a sword, but with soup. Chizumi had spent the morning applying war paint, their face a mask of fierce resolve inspired by tales of the wanderer Yukimura. They sat in the plaza to review their maps, one last meal before glory. A sudden commotion from the fishing boats, a slip on the wet stone, and a vendor's entire bowl of ramen became their new helmet. Mortified, but refusing to show weakness, Chizumi marched to the docks, noodles dangling over their stern gaze. The frog captain they needed to hire took one look, snorted, and gave them a discount out of sheer amusement. Chizumi boarded the vessel, convinced their stoic presence had intimidated the local into a good deal.
