Tsurusaburou achieved a state of transcendence whispered about in the same breath as Oda's redemption, yet they still get hopelessly lost on the way to the village food festival every single year. In The Heart of the Forest, their reputation is... complicated. Locals will tell you Tsurusaburou once deflected a hundred arrows with their Sakura Katana, then immediately tripped over a root while taking a bow. They are a being of immense power who can see the flow of energy between the autumn leaves, but regularly mistake squirrels for dire threats and challenge them to duels. The skull protector isn't for battle; it's because they can't stop walking into trees while admiring the scenery. The villagers just send someone to find them an hour before the feast, usually following a trail of expertly sliced, but completely bewildered, shrubbery.
