Chimper #105
Travelers who survive The Dragon Wastelands speak of Haruna, claiming they can read the fog like a scroll and predict where ghost dragons will appear. What they don't mention is that Haruna once came to this scorched land to read actual scrolls. They arrived as a geographer, their haori immaculate, their mind filled with neat lines and geological certainties. But the Wastelands don't care for maps. A relentless storm shredded their work, a rockslide took their companion, and the howling winds erased every landmark. Survival became the only text worth studying. The specs once used for fine print now scan the horizon for threats. History is just a collection of bones; Haruna prefers to remain flesh and blood.
