The imposter, wearing their face, had dismantled a foreign spy ring and charmed a notoriously difficult diplomat. These days, powerful officials nod to them with deep respect in sunlit corridors, mistaking their gleeful confusion for shrewd modesty. Hohomi just smiles, adjusts their Kitsune mask, and leans on their cane, playing the part they never auditioned for.
