Hoshiha the Knot-Tied is the most confusing warrior in The Great Panda City. New recruits to the city guard see the Elder Armour and speak of a legendary past, claiming each knot on the carved cane is a life Hoshiha swore to protect or a foe they were forced to fell. The market children tell a different tale. To them, the knots are for remembering recipes or marking the best fishing spots, and they see only a friend with a silly salmon on their head. The Panda Council, however, knows the truth. They see a warrior bound by oaths as intricate as the knots they tie, someone whose azure visor lets them see not enemies, but problems to be untangled. They are called the Knot-Tied not for the battles they fight, but for the peace they bind together.
