Chimper #1239
Shifon’s oldest memory is not of a person or a place, but of a feeling: the gentle warmth of lantern light on their face and the sound of singing through amber-leaved trees. They have no past before that moment in The Heart of the Forest. Hearing tales of Kiti, another soul with a similarly fractured history, brought not sadness, but a sense of quiet kinship. Instead of chasing ghosts of who they might have been, Shifon chose to be who the forest needed. They became a messenger, deciding that if they could not remember their own story, they would dedicate themself to carrying the stories of others. Their guiding lanterns are a welcome sight, a bobbing promise of news, invitations, and connection.
