Chimper #1308
Kyouka can tie a fishing knot that will hold through a typhoon but cannot understand the glowing maps on their partner’s data-slate. The two met in Waterfall City when the stranger, a whirlwind of strange metals and stranger ideas, tried to “optimize” the river’s flow. Kyouka, leaning against a batch of bamboo with a playful glint in their eyes, simply laughed. They spent the next week in a silent competition: futuristic lures versus hand-carved ones. Kyouka won, but not by much. Now, the two are inseparable. They are an odd sight on the stone stairs: one chimp representing the future Aoi envisioned, the other embodying the traditions Aoi left behind. They argue about everything, but always share their dinner.
