Ikka's visor can calculate the river's flow rate to six decimal places, but the marshmallow stick they chew on only knows the perfect distance from the flames. Their family home, a fishing boat moored in the lower reaches of Waterfall City, was lost not to water but to fire. All that survived were the stories told around campfires in the plaza during the nights that followed. It was there Ikka found a new purpose. They saw how easily the old ways could be washed away. Inspired by tales of Aoi's foresight, they began training to build what could not be burned. The visor is a tool for the future they are building. The stick is a reminder of the simple warmth that saved them when their world turned to ash.
