The quiet noble with the duck on their head is a familiar, if baffling, sight in Waterfall City. Most assume they are just another eccentric, but the truth is stranger. Tachihiko was nurtured by Tamago, the Shell Warrior, raised in a place of perfect silence and safety, shielded from the world's harsh currents. When it was time to leave that sanctuary, Tamago gave them only two things: an apple-wood walking stick and the duck, Mr. Quack, whose gaze held a wisdom far older than its feathers. Now, they wander the plazas and watch the boats, a calm island in the city’s constant roar. Mr. Quack lets out a soft quack, a question about the path ahead, and for the first time, Tachihiko isn't sure of the answer.
