Chimper #2249
Is it possible to trust a merchant whose face is a screen? In The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, the old wizards say no. They see a rogue who appears with the rain, their Displayoooor helmet flickering with the latest prices for starmetal and petrified lightning. They believe Hatahiko is a cold opportunist who can talk a geode out of its own crystals. The younger apprentices, however, whisper a different story. They see a rebel who found a way to live free from the fortress walls, using the weather as a cloak. To them, the helmet is a symbol of defiance, not greed. Neither group ever notices the uneasy mouth hidden beneath, or how the display glitches into static when Hatahiko is cornered. They simply find the drizzle a comforting curtain of sound to hide behind.
