Chimper #2260
One map with a missing center, one question for an ancient tree, and one pufferfish helmet to keep the singing out. Teruyo stood before the great amber-wood, ignoring the sounds of feasting that drifted from the main clearing of The Heart of the Forest. The locals thought the helmet was a joke, a strange affectation. They didn't understand it was a tool of focus, muffling joy so that a deeper quiet could be heard. With their apple stick, Teruyo traced the final celestial pattern into the moss at the tree's base. For hours, nothing. Then, a single, glowing leaf detached itself and spiraled down, landing perfectly on the empty space of their map. The path was revealed. Teruyo simply folded the parchment and walked away, the party's music finally breaking through.
