Saayaka

There's an old saying in The Great Panda City: "True love can see through any disguise," but the proverb never specified a limit. Saayaka, an explorer far more adept at navigating treacherous mountain paths than simple conversations, decided three layers of concealment were necessary to hide their crush on a local bamboo weaver. The problem wasn't the shades or the ninja mask, but the kitsune mask, a bargain from a suspiciously croaky vendor. It once belonged to Narisumashi, and it retained a bit of their chaotic energy. The first time Saayaka tried to offer their beloved a perfectly chosen blossom, the mask projected an aura of unspeakable power. Instead of being frightened, the weaver swooned. "So intense!" they whispered. Saayaka is now in a bafflingly successful relationship, adored for a terrifying mystique they absolutely do not possess.
