Chimper #4761
The fish bait on Kenrokurou’s head was an expensive, artisanal lure, perfectly weighted to attract the legendary ‘Bamboo Carp’ of The Great Panda City. Kenrokurou had spent weeks preparing for this expedition, applying fresh war paint each morning and polishing their shades for optimal river-gazing. They set up camp by the main bridge, loudly explaining their patient, strategic methods to baffled members of the Panda Council. The plan was flawless, except for one detail: the ‘Bamboo Carp’ was not a fish. It was the affectionate nickname for a famously elusive council elder they were meant to be delivering a package to. The elder finally emerged, amused, after watching Kenrokurou try to tempt them from their office with a shiny spoon for three days. The package was delivered, but Kenrokurou keeps the bait as a souvenir.
