Chimper #2415
The only river guide in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria is, by necessity, a very patient chimper. Tachimi’s partner, a dour rock wizard obsessed with resonant frequencies, believes water is a geological inconvenience and that fish are “aerodynamically unsound.” They hired Tachimi to guard them on expeditions to humming monoliths, a partnership of opposites. The wizard carries delicate instruments; Tachimi carries the sword and a waterskin the wizard always forgets to refill. They argue about the best path up a cliff, the proper way to cook algae cakes, and the philosophical implications of a floating crystal. Yet when a magical squall hits, the wizard trusts Tachimi’s instincts. It’s a strange, unspoken arrangement, held together by shared campfires under skies of spinning magical light.
