Chimper #2649
Hakumi held the Dragonslayer Blade perfectly still, its polished surface reflecting their placid face before they brought it down with astonishing speed, not for a killing blow, but to slice a spring onion so thinly it was nearly transparent. They once explained to a breathless traveler in The Heart of the Forest that being tempered in the same dragonfire as Ryu-senshi gave the blade unique thermal properties. "It makes an excellent wok," they said, patting the flat of the greatsword. The traveler, hoping for tales of glory and valor, was instead treated to a lengthy lecture on the importance of broth temperature. Hakumi doesn't see the contradiction. A tool's purpose is to bring joy, and nothing brings more joy than a perfectly executed bowl of noodles.
