The rock wizards in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria will tell you Mitsuba the Timid is afraid of loud noises, sudden movements, and particularly shiny crystals. They aren't entirely wrong, but it isn't fear. It's a profound, unshakable case of the flinches. Their adventuring helmet, for instance, is permanently stuck displaying a wide-eyed, shocked expression, which does little to help their reputation. They came to seek the counsel of Horoguramu, but not for a glimpse of some grand destiny. They came because, during a rather enthusiastic cast, their best fishing lure got snagged on the bottom of one of the oracle’s prophecy pools. So now they sit, patiently, while everyone assumes they are deep in meditation. The helmet just shows a single, frantic question mark.
