Chimper #3919
Every morning, before the first light hits the monoliths of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, Chikato takes out the one piece not in their display: a single, unpolished moonstone. They trace its rough surface and remember the argument. Their sibling, Kanemochi, called their collection just a pile of pretty rocks, devoid of true meaning. Kanemochi left that night to find something more, leaving the stone behind as a silent testament to their disagreement. Since then, Chikato's travels have become more frantic, their pack heavier with glittering distractions. It is easier to explain the history of a rare sun-crystal to a stranger than to confess that every journey is just a search for the one person who made the stones feel like more than just stones.
