Biba owns two things of value: a yukata of the finest pink silk and a katana that has never known a polished sheath. The silk was a gift, from a life before the howling winds and ghost dragons of The Dragon Wastelands shattered their noble house. The katana they forged themself, from the scrap of a fallen warlord’s armor. While the yukata speaks of courtly dances and serene gardens, the blade tells the truer story. One notch marks the time they traded a meal for passage through a flooded canyon. Another, deeper gouge is a reminder of the day they stood alone against three Soul Chaser scouts. They meticulously maintain both—the silk a whisper of who they were, the steel a testament to what was required to survive.
