Chimper #2765
"Sora lifted them from the grey skies themselves, but they've never looked comfortable here." It was true. Hapii had been falling, a forgotten soul from a forgotten place, when the winged prodigy caught them and set them down on The Fluorescent Isles. They were given a new name, a home among the clouds and colorful fields. But the life here was too loud, too bright for one who carried the quiet of the grave in their bones. Other chimps flew; Hapii walked. They watched living dragons soar overhead and felt only the cold stillness within. To quiet their uneasy heart, they took up a craft, weaving the island's bamboo into intricate cages for songbirds they would never own and flutes they lacked the breath to play.
