Chimper #2816
Nasami is the most cheerful ghost in Waterfall City. They returned from a perilous solo expedition downriver not as a hero, but as a spirit with unfinished businessโnamely, fishing. At first, the other chimps and frogs gave them a wide berth, whispering behind their hands near the plaza's fish statue. But Nasami was determined. Every morning, they would appear at the docks with their trusty rod and a new, intricate kabuki design painted on their face. One day, a fierce sun; the next, a laughing carp. Theyโd leave their best catches on the doorsteps of the most nervous neighbors. Slowly, fear turned to curiosity, then to affection. Their undeath is no longer a morbid secret, but a local legend of someone who loved their home too much to let a little thing like dying get in the way.
