Chimper #2859
Every dawn, Rasuka faces upstream, squinting against the current that flows through The Great Panda City. They were not born beside the water but of it, a living salmon fused to their crown as an eternal guide. While others travel downstream with the ease of tradition, Rasuka is compelled to walk against the flow, an endless pilgrimage toward the riverโs unknown source. This contrary path grants them a strange sight; they see the ripples of what is to come, the echoes of words before they are spoken, leaving them with an expression of perpetual shock. The minstrel Shijin once saw them by the cherry blossoms and immortalized their struggle in a poem: โTo know the riverโs truth, ask not the leaf that is carried, but the salmon who returns.โ
