Katsujirou

Katsujirou was trained to kill with a whisper, but they hum constantly. They learned to navigate by the shadows of daggers, yet now they chase sunbeams across floating meadows. The change happened during a covert mission to observe Tamashi. They expected to find a threat, but the purple glow emanating from the voice-bound chimper was not hostile; it was a symphony that revealed a world painted in colors they never knew existed. Their objective was immediately forgotten. They simply wandered upward, following the light. The winged locals of the isles find the masked chimper baffling, but their gleeful eyes are impossible to distrust. Katsujirou still carries their ancient sabre, but these days it is mostly used for slicing exotic fruit.
