Chimper #53
The wizards who study the great spinning monoliths of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria have their theories about Norue. They whisper that the masked figure is a defector from the Empire, or a thief scouting the most potent magical rocks. The truth is much simpler. Norueโs backpack isnโt filled with stolen gems, but with forgotten things: a warm blanket for an old scholar who never leaves their tower, a rare herb for a potion-makerโs failing experiment, a child's lost toy found near a treacherous cliff. The twin masks aren't for intimidation; theyโre to ensure the kindness is anonymous, a gift without the weight of debt. They believe some problems can only be solved by a stranger who appears, helps, and vanishes before anyone can say thank you.
