Karyou

Karyou is, according to the official records of The Great Panda City, a hero of transcendent potential. Their partner, Ichiyou, knows them as the chimp who once used an ancient katana to slice a dango skewer perfectly in half. During the last festival, Karyou was tasked with guarding a sacred scroll for the Panda Council. They spent most of the shift trying to teach a baby panda how to wear a tiny version of their own Chimpers Merch cap, a task that ended when the scroll was snatched by a particularly brazen magpie. Ichiyou watched in horror as Karyou, with a determined puppy-eyed smile, unleashed a burst of evolved energy to gently float the bird back down, offering it a berry in exchange for the parchment. The scroll was returned without a scratch. Ichiyou still had to pay for the three market stalls that were knocked over by the gust of wind.
