Chimper #3403
Tamiha has the kindest heart and the angriest face in The Heart of the Forest. This causes problems. When they first joined Shokei-moji’s refuge, their attempt to share a fishing spot was interpreted as a territorial challenge. Their offer of bait, made with a look of intense concentration, sent a nervous trainee scrambling for cover. Soon, a rumor spread: Tamiha was a fearsome guardian of the river bend. The more they tried to be friendly, offering nods that looked like threats and smiles that looked like snarls, the more the legend grew. It all came to a head when Shokei-moji found them, utterly confused, trying to teach a terrified group of chimps how to cast a line. The fish, apparently, are the only ones who aren't intimidated.
