Chimper #3576
The faint smell of sulfur and burnt bamboo clung to Hiyoshi. Momochi had recruited them for their intense focus, seeing a master of stealth. Their first mission was simple: retrieve a scroll from a cultist outpost beneath a crimson-glowing sky. Hiyoshi’s plan was flawless, relying on a new type of smoke pellet for cover. They tossed it, but instead of a thick cloud, the device sputtered and coated them head-to-toe in a fine, greasy soot that would not wash off. The shock caused their Displayoooor face to glitch, locking into a cheerful winking expression. The guards, seeing a winking, soot-covered chimper emerge from the shadows, were too confused to raise an alarm. Hiyoshi tripped over a loose rock, accidentally snagging the scroll on their way down, and fled into the ash-choked gloom. They returned a success, a legend of unpredictable chaos born from a faulty gadget.
