Tokunosuke is the most meticulous fishmonger on the lower plaza. This meticulousness is, incidentally, why they are famous for unravelling the deceptions of Azamuku. The soul-consumer, disguised as a wealthy patron, attempted to purchase Tokunosuke’s entire stock with a single, shimmering illusionary gold piece. But Tokunosuke, following their unyielding three-step verification process, held the coin to catch the mist from the falls, tapped it against a specific stone on the plaza, and then polished it with their sleeve. The mundane ritual overloaded the enchantment, causing the coin to dissolve into purple smoke. Azamuku fled in a rage. Now, everyone thinks Tokunosuke is a cunning trickster who saw through the ruse. They wear the Kitsune mask to cope with the fame, their intense eyes scanning not for magic, but for anyone who might ask them to repeat the impossible feat.
