Kiyohachirou

Kiyohachirou’s training demanded absolute silence, yet their only companion was a wizard who hummed show tunes. They were an odd pair traversing the high plains, where monoliths spun slowly in the sky and the ground crunched with glowing crystals. Kiyohachirou, a shadow in training gear, moved to secure a rogue artifact. The wizard, Ren, was their local guide—a chattering, infuriatingly cheerful expert on the region's geomantic energies. For every silent takedown Kiyohachirou executed on patrols from the midnight fortress, Ren would accidentally drop a satchel of resonant rocks, the clatter echoing for miles. But it was Ren who noticed the artifact pulsed in time with their humming, and Ren who sang the final note that stabilized it. Kiyohachirou still never speaks on missions, but their reports now include very precise musical notations.
