Chimper #4020
The trainee most likely to chase a dragon mid-kata was Kazurou. Their tranquil grey fur belied a spirit that saw training in The Fluorescent Isles as a game. They would hide gems in their senseiโs sandals and practice balancing on one foot at the very edge of a floating island, laughing at the wind. But one day, a playful leap between isles went wrong. They fell, tumbling through the sky, braced for impact. It never came. Instead, they were caught in a soft, impossibly strong web. Suspended between worlds, they looked up and saw Kumo. The guardian didn't attack; it simply watched, its silence a heavier lesson than any lecture. The shock of that moment never left their face. When they were finally released, Kazurou returned to their dojo a different chimp, the laughter in their eyes now joined by a deep, patient gravity.
