Mireru

The villagers on The Fluorescent Isles will tell you that Mireru was dropped on their head. They're not entirely wrong. Legend says they weren't on some grand quest but were simply trying to land a stubborn river fish when a great gust of wind—a divine sneeze from Kaze, some whisper—snagged their line and yanked them into the sky. They landed, dazed and tangled, on the back of a small, iridescent dragon who was trying to nap. Mireru, whose eyes have been permanently chimped since the incident, simply reeled in their line and thanked their new 'boat' for the lift. The dragon, who communicates in a series of annoyed hisses, has been their reluctant fishing partner ever since, complaining bitterly but never flying away when Mireru shows up with their rod and that silly blue cap.
