Kainosuke

Kainosuke is the most successful shadow agent in The Heart of the Forest. This success has nothing to do with stealth and everything to do with Mr. Quack, the bright yellow duck perched on their head. Inspired by grand tales of Roketto building entire worlds, Kainosuke initially tried to bring sweeping innovations to their local village. These efforts resulted in three flooded berry patches and a formal request that they stop 'helping.' So, they pivoted. Now, they are an agent of minor joys. They use their fishing rod not for combat, but to silently untangle a neighbor's wind chimes or retrieve a child's lost toy from a stream. Nobody ever suspects the chimp with the duck is the culprit behind these small miracles. Their perpetually shocked expression is just a bonus to the disguise.
