Chimper #4129
Maina has the eyes of a seasoned elder, yet they still wear the simple robes of a trainee. They and their sibling, Yusurako, arrived in the high-altitude city years ago, seeking refuge from a tragedy that left their old faction as little more than a whisper. The only thing Maina carried from that life is their cane, carved with the sigils of a home that no longer exists. Here, amidst the bamboo-lined streets and under the purple-hued sky, they started over from nothing. The locals are unaffected by the freezing winds, but Maina always feels the chill. They are constantly slurping ramen, less for hunger and more for the steam that warms their face. It is a small, quiet act of renewalโa way to find heat in a world that once went cold.
