Chimper #4338
The fishers at the bottom of Waterfall City claim Aijirou’s noodles are a taste of heaven, but they’ll lower their voices when you ask about the katana on their back. They say Aijirou was once a duelist of some renown, their blade quick enough to sever a raindrop before it hit the ground. But victory came at a cost they no longer wished to pay. After one final duel that left a rival defeated but Aijirou’s own spirit shattered, they walked away from the life of steel and honor. They sought out the roar of the great falls to drown out the ghosts of their past. The chef's kimono is their new armor, the masuku a shield for anonymity. The sword remains, a silent promise never to be drawn again—and a reminder of who they must never become.
