Chimper #4350
Rushana’s carved cane holds the memory of every bridge they've burned. Each notch marks a place they can never go back to, a promise they had to break. They were raised in The Great Panda City, taught that tradition was a fortress against the freezing mountain winds. But to them, it felt more like a tomb. They were meant to be a warden, another link in an ancient chain. Instead, one night, they simply walked away, leaving nothing but footprints in the frost. The first notch was for the city itself. Travelers they meet see a determined adventurer. They see the mutton chops and call them old-fashioned. Rushana lets them. It's easier than explaining that every step they take isn't toward a destination, but away from a ghost.
