Chimper #4435
Osae has a single rule: never finish a fight you can win by other means. In The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, this philosophy was tested. Tanesaburou was a weapon personified, and their duel amidst the glowing monoliths was meant to be Osae’s last. Yet Osae won. With Tanesaburou disarmed and awaiting the final blow, Osae simply lowered their combat pole and walked away, a smudge of strawberry milk still on their cheek. The wizards and scientists called it weakness, a failure of nerve. They underestimated the power of an unpaid debt. Tanesaburou lives, and the information they now provide is far more damaging to their own faction than their death ever could have been.
