Teyuki

Should a traveler inquire about the history of any glowing rock in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, Teyuki could provide its geological age and magical lineage from memory. They took Hiyume in as a ward, a duty bound by a promise made in another lifetime. Teyuki offered protection with the same grim precision used to cut gems. But Hiyume saw the world differently. They didn't care about a crystal's origins, only how it looked with a flower placed beside it. They were the one who insisted Teyuki wear a bright yellow bandana, a splash of life against their decaying form. Teyuki’s duty was to keep Hiyume safe. Their devotion, however, became cataloging the one light in the Highlands that wasn't for sale.
