Chimper #4537
"Nasako isn't being profound," a palace guard once whispered. "They're just wondering what's for lunch." The legend began when Nasako, a scholar whose deadpan expression was just a defense against the overwhelming politics of The Teikodian Empire, was asked for advice on a complex trade negotiation. Distracted, they simply replied, "A full basket is heavier to carry home." The diplomat took it as a metaphor for over-ambition and saved the treaty. Since then, Nasako's mundane observations are treated as gospel. They meditate beside Sensei not for enlightenment, but because it's the only place no one asks them questions. The signature shades aren't for style; they're to hide their eyes as they watch a bug crawl across the floor.
