Baraka

Baraka was the kindest scholar in the archives of The Teikodian Empire. Their willingness to help any chimp who asked, however, meant their own research always came last. Desperate to finish a critical translation, they acquired a potion of 'unbreakable focus' from the infamous Itame. The potion worked spectacularly, just not cleanly. For a full week, Baraka was so absorbed in their scrolls they became completely oblivious to their surroundings, walking into pillars, tumbling down stairs, and failing to notice an entire platoon of Imperial guards on patrol. They completed the translation, but the resulting collection of scars and a perpetually stunned expression necessitated the dark shades. Now, the gentlest soul in the city looks like a retired brawler.
