Purinsesu

Every morning, before the first light spins through the monoliths of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, Purinsesu is at the water's edge. And every morning, their rival Kawa is already there, a silhouette against the glowing rocks. Their contest is for the Sunstone Trout, a creature of legend whose scales are said to hold the sunset. They've traded pranks, stolen bait, and once, in a particularly chaotic tussle over a prime fishing spot, an entire bowl of ramen ended up on Purinsesu’s head. They wear the memory fondly. This chase isn't about victory; it's a silent language. The beast slayer Yuki once watched them for a whole afternoon, seeing in their rivalry the same profound quiet they knew from the high mountain snows. One day, one of them will catch the trout, and the next day, they will both be back, searching for a new prize.
