Chimper #4612
In The Dragon Wastelands, the rain and fog are so thick they birth illusions; ghost dragons coil in the mist and skeletal beasts rise from the rocks. Most seasoned travelers learn to ignore them. Panjii, however, greets each one with the full-throated gravitas of a final battle. Sent from a noble house under the pretense that their prematurely white hair was a sign of great spiritual insight, Panjii spends their days heroically challenging particularly ominous clouds and shouting down winds that sound vaguely like a roar. Their attendants never correct them. The truth is, Panjiiโs family just needed a break from the constant, dramatic exclamations at home. Every evening, they return to camp, triumphant, to recount their bravery. Their companions just nod and agree the fog was especially menacing that day.
