Chimper #4834
The day after receiving a prestigious commission for the palace's central courtyard, Buhachirou became what their long-suffering partner Kitoko called 'bamboo-blind.' With intensely focused eyes, they saw only the potential in stalks of bamboo, not the things attached to them. They were found trying to harvest a particularly straight piece that was, unfortunately, serving as a decorative flagpole for a visiting dignitary. The golden dragon embroidery on their robes only added to the confusion. Kitoko arrived just as guards were drawing weapons, armed with three rice cakes and a well-practiced apology. They guided their partner away, who whispered with an uneasy frown, “But it had the perfect resonance.” Kitoko just sighed. It was Tuesday.
