Chimper #4969
The foragers of The Heart of the Forest will tell you Yunane the Poet can make a sapling bloom or wither with just a couplet. They saw it happen once, when a Soul Chaser emerged from the pale trees. Yunane didn't draw a weapon. They simply spoke two lines about winter's final frost, and the cultistโs armor became brittle as ice, shattering before it could take another step. What the foragers don't know is the terror Yunane feels when the words come. They were once a farmer, content with the rhythm of mud and water. But they dug too deep one season, uncovering a voiceless spirit bound to forgotten glyphs. It flooded into them, twisting their eyes and filling their mind with a language that reshapes reality. They wear the dragon robes they found at that site, a constant reminder of the power they never asked for. Every poem is a prayer that it will be a gentle one.
