Chimper #2914
Chiniho was the most intimidating rogue in The Heart of the Forest, but only between marshmallow batches. They cultivated an image of cold rebellion, a rogue too calculating for the locals’ silly campfire songs. This carefully built facade crumbled the night they saw a visiting artisan burn a marshmallow to absolute cinders. It was an unforgivable offense. Unable to watch the sacrilege, Chiniho snatched the stick and demonstrated the proper technique: patient rotation, a gentle flame, the perfect golden-brown crust. The artisan wasn’t intimidated; they were delighted. They started bringing Chiniho the best sap-wood sticks and rarest honey-sweetened marshmallows, just to watch the ‘fearsome rogue’ melt. The artisan still can’t toast one correctly, but Chiniho suspects they might just be faking it.
