Uguru

The Forest's quietest riddle is Uguru. The cheerful locals of The Heart of the Forest, between songs and feasts, will tell you they are a benign spirit who simply copied the form of the infamous Narisumashi out of sheer fascination. They point to Uguru’s patient, calm demeanor as proof. Yet warriors who have passed through the wilder outer regions speak of a terrifying reactivity, a sudden, shocking violence that mirrors the toad-trapped warrior's own berserk power. They believe Uguru is the real Narisumashi, hiding from a terrible curse. Both sides agree the kitsune mask is identical; neither can explain the tactical goggles. Uguru offers no answers, their true face a guarded secret.
