Hitsuji

The wizards of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria will tell you that Horoguramu’s prophecy was fulfilled by a misunderstanding. It foretold the arrival of one who would bring "the ocean's balance" to quiet the vibrating monoliths. The mages expected a water spirit. They got Hitsuji, an arctic merchant wearing tactical goggles, who arrived seeking rare crystalline salt for their nigiri. They were baffled when the rock wizards began to study the piece of tuna on their head, convinced it was a potent magical focus. When a monolith began to crackle with unstable energy, Hitsuji panicked and offered their finest salt-cured mackerel as a placating gift. The minerals in the salt stabilized the crystal instantly. Hitsuji is now celebrated as a fated savior, a fact that keeps their face frozen in a state of perpetual surprise.
