Chimper #5410
How can two saplings from the same root grow so differently? Ask anyone in The Heart of the Forest, and they will point to Memina and their sibling, Nizaburou. Their market stalls stand opposite one another, a quiet war waged in the price of sunberries and the quality of woven river-reed baskets. It began, as such things do, over a single, flawless moonmelon. Nizabou saw immediate profit; Memina saw a bartering piece for a master woodcarver's lost tools. The melon went unsold, but a rivalry took root. These days, Meminaโs intense gaze misses nothing. Their carved cane taps a rhythm of patient calculation, sometimes pointing out a flaw in a supplier's delivery meant for Nizaburou. The competition must, after all, be fair.
