Chimper #2074
Fumimiko possessed the grace of a falling stone, yet travelers know them only as elegant. As a youth in The Heart of the Forest, their life was a series of fumbles and trips, their carved cane more a tool for preventing disaster than for support. The name came during the Amber Leaf festival. Carrying a steaming bowl from a food stall, they tripped on a loose stone, sending the noodles flying. Time seemed to slow as the entire meal landed perfectly atop their head. A collective gasp went through the crowd. With broth dripping down their face, Fumimiko simply straightened their vest, took a slow breath, and gave a serene, perfect bow. The nickname, born of irony, became a mark of honor. They learned that day that elegance is not the absence of mess, but the poise with which one wears it.
