Chimper #5414
Meirou flicked another sakura petal at the hornet's nest, which was a very bad way to stand guard. They much preferred their old job back in Waterfall City: juggling petals for laughing children near the great fish statue. Life was simpler then. But one afternoon, a frantic merchant mistook their performance for the legendary 'Petal Dance' fighting style and begged them to retrieve a lost heirloom. Meirou, too polite to correct them, agreed to a 'short trip.' That was three seasons ago. They have since discovered that the same dexterity needed to keep a dozen blossoms airborne is also quite good for deflecting daggers. It is a skill they deeply resent learning, but one that keeps them alive long enough to dream of returning home.
